We are sorry to announce that the decision has been made to postpone Woollinn 2020.

It has been a difficult few weeks for everyone.  As each day passed it became clear that pushing on with the plans for a 2020 event would only serve to create higher levels of risk and worry for everyone involved – for our visitors, vendors, special guests, sponsors, contractors and for our own team.

It is also clear that this battle against Covid-19 is going to be a marathon and not a sprint.  Even if the limits on event capacities in Ireland were to be lifted somewhat by June, there is no guarantee that they will be lifted back to a threshold that would allow the festival to proceed.  Additionally, there may still be warnings in place for those in higher-risk categories to stay away, and it would be at odds with all our values to be running an event that excluded the most vulnerable members of our community.

All existing tickets will be valid for our new dates: 17th – 20th June 2021 at the Royal Marine Hotel Dun Laoghaire.

We are currently working behind the scenes to ensure that this year’s workshop timetable will be replicated for next year. In the event that the workshop you have chosen can no longer be made available then we will contact you directly with options.

Should the new dates not work for you, then a refund will of course be processed. Please use the refund request form below for this purpose.

Please do bear with us, as it may take some time to respond to and action these refund requests. If you’re not sure yet if you can make the 2021 dates then there’s no rush at all on making that decision, refunds can be requested any time between now and 60 days ahead of the 2021 event.

With much regret, a 15% administration charge will apply to these refunds. In the interests of transparency – this charge is to cover the bare minimum of ticket platform fees, payment processing fees (which are not refunded to us) and wage costs associated with the handling of the refunds.

We wish to support our community in every way we can, and we know there are people going through great hardship at this time. If this 15% fee represents a significant burden for you then please do reach out (in complete confidence) to our team on hello@woollinn.com and the fee will be waived for you, no questions asked.

We are gutted at the impact this decision will have on the incomes of our vendors and special guests. We have some plans in the pipeline to assist them in promoting their small businesses over the coming months, and we ask that you consider supporting them in whatever way you can during this time.

There is so much great kindness and humanity already being shown worldwide as communities pull together against this common enemy (or, as it’s known in my house, “this damn virus”). It won’t be easy, but we *can* come through this together.

And the party at Woollinn 2021? I’m telling you now, that’s going to be *legendary*.

Stay safe everyone.

Lisa and the Woollinn Team x
