Steve Malcolm is a Jamaican born, Vancouver-based knitter, with over 20 years experience in the art of knitting and a passion for cables.

After falling hard for a $500 cream machine knit sweater in the window of a high-end menswear store in Toronto’s financial district, Steve was inspired to pick up the needles and teach himself to knit as he couldn’t get the jumper out of his head and didn’t have the disposable cash to buy it at that time.  His first project was, you’ve guessed it, a sweater.

Steve has worked in local yarn shows honing his skills and knowledge of fibres, developed his signature Barrington Braid cable, has been interviewed by Kristy Glass Knits twice, and his own television show “It Takes Ball To Knit”.

Steve is back at Woollinn 2020 to teach us “15 Things Every Knitter Should Know!”
